To all of our concerned guests and wedding couples—
Although the world is facing new and unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 crisis, we want to take a moment to reassure you that your safety and the safety of our people are and always will be the top priorities at Hermann Hill. This year marks our 25th-anniversary, providing world-class lodging in Hermann, Missouri.
To that end we closed both properties for about seven weeks and reopened May 4th with approval from heath officials.. While closed, we “super cleaned” every guest room as well as our wedding and conference venue. Since all of our reservation and accounting software is cloud based, we were able to maintain relatively normal business hours for our lodging front desk and wedding venue while some of our staff worked from home.
As the founders and innkeepers of this establishment, we’ve always lived on the third floor of the Inn since opening in 1995, and we consider it an honor to serve our guests. When we reopened May 4th, we found it difficult to avoid shaking hands and sharing a hug with many of our old friends who have been repeat guests for many years, but we’re adapting. We take great pride in creating a safe, clean and comfortable setting where you can find deep relaxation and respite—something we sense everyone desperately needs as this crisis abates.
Our guests and wedding couples tell us that one of the reasons they chose to stay at our boutique hotel is because of the location. The small town of Hermann provides respite from the hectic pace of suburban and urban living. Not to mention, both our Vineyard Inn and Riverbluff Cottages are quaintly tucked away on the outskirts of town.
A second reason for couples and guests to return year after year is our tradition of cleanliness. The Hermann Hill housekeeping team is paid by the hour—not by the room, ensuring your room meets our high standards. And the same goes for our wedding venues—each one cleaned expertly.
When you return you’ll experience some changes, including self check-ins and check outs, new ways to clean rooms with less invasive makeups, greater separation for those guests who don’t opt for our complimentary in-room breakfast delivery and more healthy initiatives with our spa services.
On the wedding side, we’re working with our booked couples to start ceremonies earlier at any of our outdoor ceremony sites, utilizing our outdoor areas to spread out activities like our photo booth and encouraging our booked couples to have a complimentary elopement on their wedding date if their wedding and reception was postponed.
Hermann Hill’s success has always been attributed to our staff who embrace the highest standards of customer satisfaction. Since we have reopened, you’ll see that we’ve raised our already high cleanliness standards and now provide guests with additional, in-room cleaning supplies for more peace of mind.
Our teams are already practicing recommended hand-washing and social distancing throughout the day. We believe that our dedicated staff, rural location, design of our facilities and our brand’s core mission will enable us to embrace the best operational practices for your safety once we get beyond the current COVID-19 crisis.
