Favorite Guest Experiences at Hermann Hill

Whether you get away to indulge, relax, connect with the destination – or all of the above – there is something for everyone here at Hermann Hill. Don’t take our word for it; hear what our guests have to say about their experiences at our upscale boutique bed and breakfast in Hermann, MO.

Eat, Drink & Be Merry

“You arrive and there’s a wine, bread, cheese and grapes waiting for you. They have two different frozen margarita machines and we had them with big, frozen mugs along with Champagne. The breakfast menu not only had several choices (unheard of in B&Bs) but you can eat in several different rooms. Oh, they also had several times that they could deliver. The food? Best I’ve ever had. No jokes. We sat at our table looking out onto the vineyard and town and just RELAXED as we ate. First night we had one of their pizzas. Yum! Then, to top it off, they serve amazing ice cream and cookies to your door at night!” – Domina57, TripAdvisor.com

Slow cooker meals are an option for guests at both the Vineyard Inn Suites and River Bluff Cottages, and are especially popular during the colder months of the year. Guests can order these meals to be in their room on arrival or schedule them to be added to their room on their second or subsequent day’s stay. Comfort favorites include the following (all served with a side salad):

  • Homestyle Mac ‘n Cheese
  • Brown Sugar and Garlic Roasted Pork Loin with Potatoes and Carrots
  • Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Stew
  • Balsamic Glazed Chicken with Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts
  • Slow Roasted Hearty Herbed Beef with Potatoes and Carrots

Personal gas grills for guests at Hermann Hill

We’ve had a record number of BBQ-loving guests purchase one of our Grilling Baskets. Our Inn guests can use the kitchen deck’s gas grill and all of our River Bluff Cottages have their own outdoor grill. Grilling baskets are filled with lots of goodies, including:
  • Two bottles of our new Naked Grilling Sauce (one to use and one to take home)
  • Two bottles of Hermann Hill’s Naked Dry Rub – formulated with raisin concentrate to accent barbecued meats (especially delicious with pork)
  • Hermann Hill basting mug and basting brush
  • Hermann Hill apron
  • Bratwurst made at a local meat market for you to grill
  • Loaf of fresh-baked bread with two side dishes
  • A bottle of Champagne or six-pack of any local Tin Mill Beer
If you want something extra we can substitute any of these protein options:
  • Substitute 2 ribeye steaks to replace the bratwurst for $35
  • Substitute 4 chicken kabobs to replace the bratwurst for $30
  • Substitute 6 veggie kabobs to replace the bratwurst for $25

Relax & Rejuvenate

This trip began with a couples massage at the vineyard and because we were late, we were worried we would miss it and ruin their scheduling…nope, they waited and gave us the best massage of our lives. – christinalrios, TripAdvisor.com

Treat yourself and the person you love to the ultimate pamper session. Choose from our extensive list of massage and spa treatments. One of the most popular is our Stress Fix massage, which uses aromatherapy and a combination of Swedish and deep tissue techniques.

Saturday yoga class overlooking the Missouri River

If you’re staying with us over the weekend, we invite you to decompress by joining our complimentary yoga class on Saturday mornings, held at our wedding venue. We have a beautiful indoor space or weather permitting, often find our zen moments at our two locations overlooking the Missouri River: The Gazebo or Celebration Point.

Get Out & Explore

“There is a 3 mile walk you can do that takes you on a nice little tour through town or two different scavenger hunts you can do that take you a little further out into the area around Hermann. I’d recommend the 3 mile walk and at least one, if not both, of the scavenger hunts.” –Richie38618, TripAdvisor.com

When it comes to outdoor exploration, there are so many options nearby. The three “musts” recommended by us and our guests are biking the Katy Trail, trying one or more of our driving scavenger hunts, or completing our historic Three Mile Walk.

Hermann Hill shuttle taking guests to Katy Trail

The Katy Trail
Park your car at the south end of the MO River Bridge and let us shuttle you and your bikes over to the Katy Trail. Have a leisurely ride back, stopping for lunch at the Trailside Bar & Grill in Rhineland. If you’re using either of the bike rental companies in town, we’ll pick you up there and shuttle you to the Katy Trail.

Driving Scavenger Hunt #1
This hunt takes you to a lot of places that you might want to revisit. It ends up at Stone Hill Winery, with a tasting coupon included. If you take selfies to show us that you found the clues, we’ll reward you with a $25 gift certificate to use towards your next stay!

Driving Scavenger Hunt #2
This route can include several wineries, distilleries, and a beautiful drive from Hermann to New Haven via the Old Iron Road. Included are tasting coupons, discounts for sausage purchases, and tours and tastings at Pinckney Bend Distillery. Again, your selfies are your ticket to your $25 gift certificate reward.

Three Mile Walk
Our three-mile walk starts and stops at the Inn and includes a detailed map that provides a lot of historic information as you go through town. Many guests stop along the way to eat lunch, tour wineries and breweries, and shop. You’ll receive a personalized “I conquered the Hermann Hill Three Mile Walk T-shirt” for completing the walk.
