Adam Puchta Winery
If you like history, you’ll want to visit the Adam Puchta Winery! As the oldest continuously family-owned winery in the United States, you will see both modern technology and the historical vineyards that were planted before prohibition. On May 25, 1839, Adam Puchta and his father left Germany to begin a new life in a new country. They settled in Missouri and began their winery with the purchase of 40 acres. Over the years the winery has gone through many changes but has always remained within the Puchta family.
Bias Winery and Gruhlke’s Microbrewery
For spectacular views of the Missouri River bottomlands, you’ll want to visit the Bias Winery. From season to season, you will experience unique events and create special memories including picnics in the shade, moments beneath the grape arbor, and snuggling by a cozy fire in our Hearth Room. What’s extra special about the Bias is that it offers not only tasty wines, but also great microbrewed beers. Open year round, this winery provides something special whenever your schedule allows you to get away.
Curling Vine Winery
Open since 2016, the Curling Vine Winery is one of the newest wineries in Hermann. Owner Thomas Held’s experience in the wine industry dates back to when he was 2 helping his parents by slipping seals on the freshly corked wine bottles. His parents owned the Stone Hill Winery and Thomas has been learning about and working in the industry throughout his life. His wife Andrea also has a long history in wine making. She started working with the Helds as a tour guide in 1987 and worked her way up to general manager. They married in 2002, have 6 children and have ventured out on a new adventure with the opening of the Curling Vine Winery in 2016.
Dierberg Star Lane Tasting Room
These wines come from the lush region north of Los Angeles, California. Venturing west, Jim and Mary Dierberg planted vineyards close to the Pacific Ocean with cool breezes and foggy mists producing exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines. They also have vineyards on their Star Lane estate near the San Rafael Mountains. The temperature, soil and orientation of the sun produce the finest grapes for their Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. If you prefer excellent dry wines, you won’t want to miss visiting the Dierberg Star Lane Tasting Room.
Hermannhof Winery
With a beautiful brick building and 10 stone cellars, the Hermannhof Winery is a gem in downtown Hermann. It is located within walking distance from the Amtrak station and Hermann’s best shopping, museum, and other attractions. These delicious wines come from their vineyards planted rich soil around the Missouri and Gasconade Rivers, providing protection and hydration. The higher elevation also provides the enriching sunshine needed to produce grapes for the finest wines ranging from driest to the sweetest sparkling wine. Stop at any time of the year and pair your preferred wine with the finest of local sausages and cheese.
Röbller Vineyard
Last, but certainly not least, is the Röbller Vineyard. You will find a combination of modern techniques with traditional old world European methods. Again, the rich Missouri soil, the slope of the vineyard, and the direction of the sun’s warm rays contribute to the quality of their grapes. This winery has its roots in a backyard hobby and is located in New Haven, near St. Louis. They say it best: “Discover the wine you never expected from Missouri soil.”

You can pick up your ticket and souvenir wine glass at any of these locations and begin sampling our delicious Missouri wines.
