The acclaimed bluegrass band Big Smith is coming to Hermann, MO bringing its raucous acoustic style which captures the spirit of their native Ozarks.
Comprised of 5 cousins and a fiddle player their authentic Ozark cultural sound is comprised of an acoustic guitar, mandolin, bass fiddle and a washboard and has deemed them”intellectually astute neo-hillbillies”. They are all bound together through music.
The 2005 a documentary, Homemade Hillbilly Jam, profiled the band and the music of their extended family. Opening act of this musical evening will be The River Rats known for their bluegrass.
