At Stone Hill Winery on August 13, 2011 everyone is going to have a rompin’ stompin’ good time at the Grape Stomp in Hermann, MO … and Hermann Hill Bed and Breakfast still has rooms available for those who would like to enjoy this fun event!
This is how the “Show Me State”celebrates the beginning of grape harvest season, by stompin’ the juice out of the grapes for charity. Our Missouri wine country bed and breakfast is proud of how the Stone Hill Winery has helped fund Hermann’s local sheltered workshop for the past 25 years.
Registration starts at 11am sharp.The competition will have 5 age categories and then at the end of the competition there will be a Grand Stomp-Off for Grand Champion Stomper. Guests may stomp to the upbeat folk sounds of the Boney Goat Band or sit on the hill and cheer for the stompers. Make sure you bring a blanket and folding chairs. Stompers are judged on the amount of juice produced and on “stomping style,” which includes some wild and crazy costumes and stomping techniques.
