Turn right (west) onto Stark Blvd. (This area of town was once all vineyards. A dirt path existed where
you are now walking. When there was no longer a need for grapes because of Prohibition, the field was
divided into 50-foot wide lots. The lots were sold at auction, bringing between $35.00 and $50.00 each.)
 

The third house on the right (#329) is Hermann's only known Sears-Roebuck house, ordered from the catalog and delivered in bundles for assembly. Constructed around 1925, the estimated original cost was about $1,000. Every piece was numbered, and Rohlfing Brothers construction assembled the structure.
