Hermann's traditional Spring festival celebrates all things German, from polka contests and German bands to the always-popular Biergarten.

A Civil War emcampment will be a new addition to this year's Maifest. The 5th Cavalry Regiment of Missouri and the Turner Brigade from Washington, MO, will participate in a rededication ceremony at the tomb of Capt. Charles Manwaring, who was killed by bushwackers during a skirmish on the Hermann wharf.

The Taste for the Arts Festival, June 5-6, will feature live music and juried artsts from "Best of Missouri Hands."

Beautiful gardens in and around Hermann will be on tour June 5 and 6. Sponsored by the Hermann Garden Club.

The Rhythm & Brews Festival on June 19 will feature beers from top microbreweries. Hosted by Tin Mill Brewery.

Savor the flavors of summer at the Berries & BarBQ Wine Trail, July 24-25, sponsored by the Hermann Wine Trail.

When you book a two-night midweek stay that includes a Vineyard Inn target date, you'll receive a $40 check, payable to one of Hermann's great restaurants. Stay three nights and you'll receive a second $40 check. 

If your midweek, multiple-night Cottage stay includes one of our Cottage target dates, you'll receive a bratwurst grilling basket, with four brats from Swiss Meats, buns, sauerkraut, mustards, a Hermann Hill basting mug and brush, and a bottle of our Naked Grilling Sauce. We keep a record of what we do each anniversary on a special page of our wedding album. We have 49 and are going for 50. No matter how long you're married, marriage needs taking care of, and that's exactly what staying at Hermann Hill does. The entire staff goes out of their way to make it a very special experience.

One of our favorite places to eat is Vintage Restaurant at Stone Hill, where we enjoyed the Sauerbraten. The next day we visited Swiss Meats and Adam Puchta Winery with our shopping list.

On the second night of our stay, we dined at Trapper's Grill and compared their Sauerbraten to Stone Hill's. The next morning we watched the sunrise and fog over the valley and reminisced about what we were doing 49 years ago.

A couple's massage in the comfort of our Cottage was the perfect way to de-stress and begin our fourth anniversary celebration. We had a wonderful time exploring Röbller, Bias, OakGlenn, and Adam Puchta wineries, where we bought wine to stock our new wine refrigerator back home (our anniversary gift to each other). 

Vintage at Stone Hill Winery is one of our favorite restaurants. The service is outstanding, as is the food and wine. But our favorite dinner was the Swiss Meats brats we grilled at our cottage. Later, we watched a movie and our wedding video.
