Dear [fname],
Guests love our Summer Solstice Special

Meet Our Staff
|
Hermann Hill enjoyed a record-breaking 90.1 percent occupancy rate in June, thanks in part to our popular Summer Solstice Special.
This summer, when you book a multiple-night stay that includes a Wednesday, you'll receive a voucher to enhance your stay. Options include:
- A $25 voucher to rent a bike
- A $25 voucher for lunch at a local restaurant
- Two all-day fares for the Hermann Trolley
- The makings of a great meal for your Cottage grill
- A cookbook, apron and chance to work alongside the kitchen staff at the Inn
In addition, Hermann Hill will make a $10 donation to the National Brain Tumor Society for every Summer Solstice reservation. Summer Solstice Special ends August 31. Offers may be used in combination with our multiple-night midweek and American Hero Discounts, but not with a last-minute discount.
Anniversary celebrations were the theme of last month's winning threads entries.
Larry and Sheri of Gardner, Kansas, write . . . We were truly sorry to see this wonderful anniversary trip come to an end. Everything at the Inn has been wonderful, from the gracious staff, to the food, to all the little things you might miss if you weren't careful (like fish food by the bridge over the fish pond). We drove all over Hermann, and there is not another view that comes close to the one here at the Inn. And to see the sunrise from that view... amazing!
On the three-mile walk we saw deer right off the bat. It was great to walk around town, soaking up Hermann history. Afterward, we had an in-room massage--fantastic!
We visited five wineries during our stay. The best tasting experience was at Adam Puchta, the best tour was at Stone Hill, and we liked the wine best at Röbller Vineyards. The four-course dinner at Alpenhorn Gasthaus was magnificent. The topper was dessert in a candlelit wine cellar.
Andrew and Danya of Lenexa, Kansas, write . . . We tossed around several ideas of where to celebrate our five-year anniversary. Ultimately, wedecided to head back to the place where we felt the most relaxed and pampered--Hermann Hill.
We arrived in Hermann at noon and enjoyed lunch at the Barrel Bar & Grill. At the Inn, we were greeted by Debbie, who said our Cottage was ready ahead of schedule. She went over all the amenities so we could make the most of our stay, and we selected two movies from the complimentary DVD library.
That afternoon we visited Adam Puchta, Stone Hill, and Hermannhof wineries. (We were so inspired by Hermann's Norton wines on a previous trip that we planted our own Norton grapevines in our backyard at home!) Back at the Cottage, I couldn't wait to use my favorite amenity--the steam shower.
We woke early the next day and took advantage of the cool morning with breakfast on the deck and a leisurely hike down the shaded KATY Trail. We photographed the gorgeous views at Oakglenn Winery, then found a great lunch value at Hermannhof --bread, cheese, and two glasses of wine for about $10. That evening we grilled our purchases from Swiss Meats, played board games and admired our final sunset in Hermann.
