Considering what day it is. . .
We just had to include this picture of Fred's sister, Ginger, that somehow found its way onto a poster. Ginger once lived at the Inn, but is now happily settled in New Jersey with Sue and Steve, Peggy's sister and brother-in-law. (The rabbit, Steve assures us, is a toy.) Sad to say, Ginger's newfound fame has Fred green with envy. He fails to see the humor.

Wedding Trail April 26
The next Hermann Wedding Trail will be from 11:30 to 3:30 on Sunday, April 26. This is a chance for engaged couples and their families to taste, tour and see why Hermann is such a great venue for a Wine Country wedding.
Planning to arrive early?
Constant improvement based on our guests' needs is one reason for Hermann Hill's success. Our new early check-in program is part of that effort. When you call to make a reservation you may be surprised by some of the questions we ask:
- What's the approximate time of your arrival?
- Is there a cell phone number we can call when your room or cottage is ready?
- Is this a special event? Is there something special we can do for you?
If you plan to arrive in Hermann before our normal 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. check-in time, we'll do everything we can to accommodate early check-in. If that's not possible, we'll try to help you enjoy the wait. We can provide information about places to have lunch, our three-mile walk, wineries, shopping, museum tours, and bike rentals. As you would expect, we are carefully monitoring your feedback on our early check-in program. Actions speak louder than words. We hope our actions prove that Hermann Hill customer satisfaction is more than a just a slogan. Tree planting at the Village
We have now planted more than half the 3,000 trees in the third year of a program to reforest areas of Hermann Hill Village that were cleared during construction. We like to imagine the day when guests will drive through a beautiful forest to reach the cottages, chapel, gazebo, waterfall and Missouri River views.
Saluting local heroes
We continue to be inspired by stories of wonderful people who give so much to help others. March winners of Hermann Hill gift certificates are:
- Erin Ohlemacher, nominated by David French. Erin, who is in the Air Force, helps train NCOs to give back to their communities and is active in the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure.
- Megan Nichols, nominated by Dave and Debby Nichols. Megan works for SHARE, an organization that helps couples cope with the death of an infant.
Brewery & winery awards program
This new program rewards Hermann's great brewery and winery employees who conduct tours and tastings. At check-in, guests receive a card they can use to evaluate their tasting experiences. We give out two awards each month. The first goes to a guest card whose card is selected in a random drawing. The second goes to the winery or brewery employee with the highest scores.
Congratulations to guests Randy and Jaycie Rodgers of Glen Carbon, Illinois, winners of a Hermann Hill gift certificate. Ben Daller of Adam Puchta Winery, winner of the tasting room employee award, will receive $50 in Hermann Bucks and a bottle of our Hermann Hill Port Chocolate Raspberry Sauce. Spring has sprung, and it's time to celebrate. Plan your getaway today by calling 573-486-4455 or visiting our secure website.
