September and October are our busiest
time at Hermann Hill and we have booked our rooms faster
than ever this season thanks to two wonderful articles
in the September issue of Southern Living and the
October issue of Midwest Living.
Southern Living stated "Hermann is
a B&B town, with more than 40 different choices and
a range of prices. But a trip devoted to the wines of
the region would not be complete without a stay at
Hermann Hill Vineyard and Inn."
Midwest Living had a great picture of
our Norton grapes, a fall foliage shot from Stone Hill
looking west showcasing Hermann Hill. They also
specifically listed us as one place to stay. We have
already had guests from Chicago call to report that the
Chicago Sun Times reprinted the Midwest Living article
in their Sunday edition.
The grapes turned to bright purple last
week. We still anticipate picking our large crop the
last weekend in September, but rely on Stone Hill Winery
to tell us when they are ready. The winery purchases
our grapes and has been making Port with them. |
