Grape harvest was a week later this year and we had over 20 people picking Saturday, October 4. We began at 7 AM and finished about 6 PM and picked a total of about six tons which were sold to Stone Hill Winery to be made into Port.
We are pleased to announce some new guest driven changes at Hermann Hill. Our breakfast menus will now feature two hot entrees each morning as well as our continental breakfast. This increased flexibility will help us accommodate both those who are on low carbohydrate diets as well as those who do not like eggs. Guests will continue to decide whether they prefer breakfast brought to their room or served in the kitchen, dinning room, or deck.
We have added another button on our website’s home page called “what’s new.” This will give our previous guests a chance to see some of the changes that have occurred at Hermann Hill. Current items shown on this page include the Flavia Coffee & Tea Machine, new puppies (Fred and Ginger), monthly email newsletter, online availability calendar, reservations, and gift certificates, outdoor projects, and our own Hermann Hill Port Chocolate-Raspberry Sauce.
