Dear Guests &
This month's newsletter deals with bed and breakfast organizations and what they mean for our guests. Hermann Hill Vineyard & Inn is a member of three professional organizations.
Hermann Hill joins prestigious innkeeping association
Hermann Hill Vineyard & Inn in Hermann, Missouri, recently was honored by being admitted into
Select Registry, Distinguished Inns of North America, the premier innkeeping association in the United States and Canada. Out of the thousands of inns in North America, only 27 were invited to join Select Registry this year. Hermann Hill Vineyard & Inn is one of more than 400 other exceptional properties that are already members of the Association.
Originally established in the Berkshire area of New England, the nonprofit organization is now headquartered in historic Marshall, Michigan. Member inns must meet the rigorous standards of a Quality Assurance program, and they represent the most prestigious establishments of their type.
"Hermann Hill Vineyard & Inn exemplifies the high quality and service championed by this Association," says Select Registry Executive Director Keith Kehlbeck. "Select Registry assures the traveler that each of its inns is regularly inspected. Our members share a high standard of excellence, and each of our country inns, B&Bs, and unique small hotels has its own distinctive character."
Inspections are key to membership in BBIM
Bed and Breakfast Inns of Missouri is an association of more than 100 Missouri Inns across the state that are approved and inspected. Member inns subscribe to a superlative standard of gracious hospitality, cleanliness, and professionalism.
BBIM offers gift certificates that can be redeemed at member inns and represents our interests with the Missouri Legislature and State Department of Tourism. We provide postcards for our guests to send feedback directly to BBIM to report on their satisfaction with Hermann Hill's quality.
Membership in PAII helped get us started
Professional Association of Innkeepers International is the largest association of innkeeping professionals and has been serving bed and breakfast owners for more than 15 years.
Our membership in PAII dates to 1994, prior to building Hermann Hill, when we attended a workshop in Santa Barbara, California, titled "So You Think You Want to Become an Innkeeper." The rest, of course, is history.
PAII sponsors major conferences every two years that not only have huge trade shows where we select the most up-to-date robes, linens, coffees, and reservation software, but where we also attend numerous seminars on how to improve guest satisfaction and our operations. We recently made presentations on Hermann Hill's Port Chocolate Raspberry Sauce and our Same Time Next Year program during PAII's educational sessions.
