Dear Guests & Friends,
The Hermann area is rich in wine-making traditions. From the time the first
Germans settled here in 1837, grape growing, wine making, and beer making have
played a major role in the local economy.
Today, tourism is the area's largest industry due, in large part, to the
contributions of the local wineries and microbreweries. A brief history of
winemaking in the area can be viewed by clicking our new website page
Hermann area Wineries
and Breweries.
In this issue we are featuring the six wineries and three microbreweries that
are located within 15-miles of Hermann. We would like to introduce you to them
by giving a brief history of each, their hours of operation, directions to each
facility, and a link to their websites.
The locations that are included on our
Hermann area Wineries
