A great way to see the Hermann area is from the air. Bart Engemann's scenic tour flights give visitors a unique way to experience the beauty of Missouri wine country any time of year.
The half-hour flights cover about a 30-mile circuit along the Missouri River. Bart points out local wineries and vineyards and various points of interest, while sharing his knowledge of local history. Tours can be customized to give passengers a look at their bed and breakfast, a restaurant where they have eaten, or a site they visited. For locals, Bart will fly over their homes. As Bart says, "They're the boss for that half hour."
Bart flies a Cessna 172, a four-seat, single engine, propeller plane. In addition to scenic tour flights, Engemann Aviation Service offers instructional, and charter, flights.
For a guaranteed flight time (weather permitting), Bart recommends making reservations at least a week in advance. However, some days he can take passengers on short notice. For more information and prices, contact Bart at 573-690-4812 or EngemannAviationService@hotmail.com.
