The Clara Eitmann Messmer Amphitheatre was dedicated Monday, May 31, 2006, located on Gutenberg Street between Fourth and Fifth Streets.  The amphitheatre is happening because of a generous donation from Clara Messmer.  It was out of the desire and generosity of Mrs. Messmer, who wanted to return something to Hermann, that this facility has become a reality.  The retired school teacher once said she was never a musician, but like going to band concerts like the ones put on by the local band.
