502 is the lower unit of the Legacy Cottage and is named for Anna Kemper Hesse who was a great artist and preservationist who played a key role in helping others to recognize Hermann's unique architectural and cultural heritage.

Train noise: Guests should know that train tracks are located at the base of the river bluff. Since Hermann is a quiet zone, there are few train whistles, but you will hear train noise and feel their vibration. If this is a problem, you may prefer our Vineyard Inn & Spa Suites.
