Kate & Rick

"We had the most romantic weekend.  This was a surprise trip for me as a gift for our two year anniversary.   The view is breathtaking, expecially while enjoying it in the fabulous hot tub!   The cottage is very luxurious with its two fireplaces-and all the comforts of home.   We truly made unforgettable memories here… and we will definitely be back."

Erik & Scotch

"This place only has one word to describe it…PERFECT!  After being here I highly doubt any other place could live up to our standards.   The privacy, extras, and hospitality we’ve had here are simply unforgettable!   The Jacuzzi, hot tub, and steam shower were absolutely fabulous"

Doug & Lori

"We have been to several different bed and breakfasts over the years and this one tops the list.   We have loved our stay for the same reason others have written in the journals… the Jacuzzi tub, the hot tub, and the gorgous view.  Our visit here has been great."

What we did on our visit to Hermann Hill...

502 is the lower unit of the # 5 Legacy Cottage and is named for Anner Kemper Hesse who was a great artist and preservationist who played a key role in helping others to recognize Hermann's unique archtectural and cultural heritage. It has a king size sleigh bed, a see-thru fireplace (to the living room) with flat screen TV in front of the bed, aromatherapy fireplace beside a six foot round Jacuzzi, a steam shower with body sprays and rain forest head, and hot tub outside the patio reached through a door directly from the bedroom. The stained glass window above the bed depicts the new Missouri River bridge.

The kitchen and living room are to the east of the bedroom. The kitchen includes a large refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, table and chairs, and utensils. The living room has a see-thru fireplace (to the bedroom), flat screen TV, couch and door leading to the patio which in addition to the hot tub also has a gas grill. The deck has a covered area with table and chairs.

Fireplaces: To conserve energy, both the aroma therapy and see-through fireplaces will be shut off June 1st and will not be able to be lit for the remainder of the summer.

Train noise:   Guests should know that train tracks are located at the base of the river bluff.  since Hermann now has a quiet zone, there are few train whistles, but you will hear train noise and feel their vibration.  If this is a problem, you should book our Vineyard & Inn suites and not our River Bluff Cottages.
