Gary & Sharon

"We came here to celebrate our 2nd anniversary and had a spectacular time!!  We loved the spaciousness of our cottages and all of the cool amenities, including the large deck and outdoor hot tub (the duck was okay as long as he kept his shades on!)…Thank you for the awesome stay."

Everett & Debbie

"My wife and I first started coming to Hermann Hill following 911.  We both work for the government and needed a break.   We used our anniversary as an excuse also to find a temporary recluse.   It turned out to be one of the best decisions of our lives.   We continue to come back every year for our anniversary and in 2006 decided to stay at the village.   The choice was a no-brainer.  Everything is so nice and relaxing that we try to find excuses to come back more often."

What we did on our visit to Hermann Hill...

is the upper unit of #5 the Legacy Cottage named after Edward Kemper, who was a great inventor, photographer, horticulturalists, and Hermann's first Ford Dealer. It has a king size mansion bed, a see-thru fireplace (to the living room) with flat screen TV in front of the bed, aromatherapy fireplace beside a six foot round Jacuzzi, a steam shower with body sprays and rain forest head, and hot tub outside the deck reached through a door directly from the bedroom. The kitchen and living room are to the east of the bedroom.

Dormer windows provide natural light for the bedroom, kitchen, and living room. The kitchen includes a large refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, table and chairs, and utensils. The living room has a see-thru fireplace (to the bedroom), flat screen TV, couch and door leading to the deck which in addition to the hot tub also has a gas grill. The deck has a covered area with table and chairs. Spectacular views of the Missouri River are to the north, and guests can view both the sunrise and sunset.

Fireplaces: To conserve energy, both the aroma therapy and see-through fireplaces will be shut off June 1st and will not be able to be lit for the remainder of the summer.

Train noise:  Guests should know that train tracks are located at the base of the river bluff.  since Hermann is now has a quiet zone, there are few train whistles, but you will hear train noise and feel their vibration.  If this is a problem, you should book our Vineyard & Inn suites and not our River Bluff Cottages.
