"One word…PERFECT! It was an absolute mini spa experience plus the romance! This was the best time we’ve had together as husband and wife. The hot tub overlooking the river was our favorite."
"WOW! We so needed this! It was a complete last minute surprise for my husband. We had a wonderful dinner, great conversation, and found our love again. When we got up and looked outside, it was 7 degrees above zero. We jumped in the hot tub and watched four baby eagles and two mature eagles entertain us. God, how amazing! This was the best Valentines ever."

"Even after 38 years of loving and discovering each other, we are thrilled to have found a getaway one hour from home with the privacy and luxury of a high priced hotel with the comforts of home. The whirlpool, hot tub, and view is why we will return for another long date."

What we did on our visit to Hermann Hill...
A note from Peggy and Terry...We like to save this lower cottage level for two couples booking together.
Located at the very top of the hill, the # 1 Early Settler's cottage is our largest building, containing four units: 101, 102, 103, and 104. Each of the two floors has two separate suites that when occupied by couples who know one another share a common living room and kitchen but have separate bedroom, bathroom, and hot tub. On weekdays only one room is usually booked on each level, and in that case each couple has total privacy.
Train Noise: Guests should know that train tracks are located at the base of the river bluff. Since Hermann now has a quiet zone, there are few whistles but you will hear train noise and feel their vibration. If this is a problem, you should book our Vineyard & Inn suites and not our River Bluff Cottages.
