A note from Peggy and Terry...We like to save this upper cottage level for two couples booking together.

Located at the very top of the hill, the # 1 Early Settler's Cottage is our largest building, containing four units: 101, 102, 103, and 104. Each of the two floors has two separate suites that when occupied by two couples who know one another share a common living room and kitchen but have separate bedroom, bathroom, and hot tub.   During the week only one room usually booked on each level, and in that case each couple has total privacy.  On weekends we try to hold Cottage 1 for two or more couples traveling together who want to share a level and receive a 10% discount when the book one level and a 15% discount if all four units are booked by the same group.

The upper west unit of the Early Settler’s Cottage, the Polly Phillips Suite features the following amenities: King size mansion bed Six-foot round Jacuzzi beside an aromatherapy fireplace Steam shower with body sprays and rainforest head See-through fireplace (in front of bed) Fireplaces: To conserve energy, both the aroma therapy and see-through fireplaces will be shut off June 1st and will not be able to be lit for the remainder of the summer. Train Noise: Guests should know that train tracts are located at the base of the river bluff.  Since Hermann now has a quiet zone, there are few whistles,  but you will hear train noise and feel their vibration.  If this is a problem, you should book our Vineyard & Inn suites and not our River Bluff Cottages. Flat screen TV (in front of bed) Deck with hot tub, gas grill, and covered area with table and chairs (Deck is accessible directly from bedroom.)
